About this site
This site is not intended to be a depressing one. It is also not a statement for, or against, the no-kill shelter movement. It is simply a glance into reality as it occurs now. While the subject matter can be, at times, sad, this site is a frank look behind-the-scenes of animal shelters, and a new approach to educating the public. It is aimed to bring awareness to the issue of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, as well as to serve as support and a resource for those who are working or volunteering with an animal shelter or rescue. If you have come to my site as an animal rescuer, whether volunteer or paid, thank you for all that you do to help the animals. It is an often thankless job, but a heroic one. ~ Jessica Stout
Thanks for the information. You have done a terrific job communicating your message. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for all that you do. Yes, we have all seen both the best and the worst in human kind in dealing with animals, and having been in rescue for 5 years now, it doesn’t appear to be getting any better.
Glad I found this site, Still think about volunterr work in florida. How I would feel at end of day. Happy one got adopted but sick at the fact that A section had to be emptied of my favs. Next day new faces but missed the others gone Take a deep breath and grab a leash. thank you for continuing to work in field.
